Valet-Chem Standard Thinner (Gun Wash) is ideal for cleaning paint spray guns after use. This super strong solvent solution will dissolve any paint residue left behind after use allowing you to protect your equipment for future use and prevent damage from thick gloopy paint residue.

It is important to wash your paint brushes and pallets as soon as possible after use to reduce the risk of damage to the bristles. When soaked in our Standard Thinner (Gun Wash) it should thin the solution reducing the viscosity of the paint residue making it easier to swill the brushes and remove any unwanted paint remnants.

Our Standard Thinner is volatile which means it evaporites quickly. Standard Thinner is a professional strength cleaning product and should be handled with care. Refer to the safety data sheet for health and safety information.

Tip:Avoid contact with rubber seals as this can cause damage

Scrape any excess paint or varnish off the brush or pallet
Pour some Standard Thinner in to a small cleaning vessel
Swill brushes in the solution until the thinner dissolves the paint
Once the paint has dispersed altering the colour of the cleaning solution you will notice the bristles becoming more malleable
For larger heavier saturated brushes repeat this process with fresh thinner.
Brushes that have been left for extended periods of time may require additional soaking in Standard Thinner to remove the paint.
When you have sufficiently removed the paint wash and rinse with water.
Pat dry with a paper towel to absorb excess moisture then leave to air dry.
Always store brushes upright to prevent damage to the bristles.
