General FAQ

In July 2025, Valet-Chem transitioned to a B2B platform, supplying products and chemicals in bulk. We no longer operate as a retail business, customers can no longer purchase small quantities at retail prices.

Still want to order? As long as you are able to adhere to the minimum order requirements, then you can re-register and place an order with us.

On 01/08/2025 Valet-Chem changed from a retail website to a bulk supplier. Unfortunately, this means that any discount codes from the previous platform are void and no longer functional.

Each product (if stated) has a minimum order quantity known as "pack size" (for example it may be 4x 5L or 12x 1L). The product will state this when adding it to your cart. Products with a pack size restriction can be added to the cart in multiples of whatever the pack size is.

We also have a minimum order value, currently set to £350 (ex VAT) per order. This means that you cannot proceed with placing your order unless you meet the minimum order value.

Unfortunately, we are unable to lower our minimum order requirements. This applies to both the minimum order value as well as the pack sizes on each product.

Account & Registration FAQ

To register as a new customer click here, you will be required to enter all of your company/shipping information. Once registered you will receive an email with a link to open your account and set a password. You MUST be logged in to place orders on Valet-Chem.

Valet-Chem is a wholesale B2B platform. Whilst we generally serve only registered businesses, you can place an order as a non-business customer. As long as you are able to adhere to the minimum order quantities and minimum order value threshold, then you can register and place an order with us.

This isn't an issue, you are still able to register and purchase. On the registration form, simply leave the VAT number field blank to proceed without a VAT number.

If you become VAT registered at a later date and wish to have your VAT number added. Simply contact our team and we'll be able to update it for you.

Of course. Just navigate to the "my account" tab and navigate down to "address book". Here you can add new addresses and edit or remove any of your stored addresses.

Orders, Payment & Invoices FAQ

We have a minimum order value applicable to all orders, currently set to £350 (ex VAT) per order. This means that you cannot proceed with placing your order unless you meet the minimum order value.

Our current lead time for orders to complete the production process is 10 Working Days. This information is updated on a regular basis.

Each order will go through various statuses before it is complete.

  • Awaiting Merchant - This is for brand new orders which are waiting to be automatically checked by the system.
  • Processing - This is the status of orders which have been accepted and are currently awaiting payment or in production.
  • Part-Shipped - Your order has been shipped in separate parts, some of your order is still awaiting shipment.
  • Shipped - Your order has been completed and shipped.
  • Cancelled - Your order has been cancelled and a refund issued (if the order was paid).

We currently offer 2 payment options. You are able to select either at the checkout.

  • Payment by card - This is the fastest option. You can choose to pay by card upfront as you are placing an order.
  • Payment by invoice - This option will allow orders to be placed without upfront payment. You will be sent an invoice with instructions on how to pay by BACS. Once your payment has been confirmed, you will receive an updated invoice and your order will then enter the production queue.
    Orders paid by invoice WILL NOT enter the production queue until full payment has been received.

Payment by invoice is often preferred by businesses and we have made it as simple as possible.

  1. Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout as normal.
  2. Select the "pay via invoice" option during the checkout process.
  3. Once you're happy with your order, click "place order".
  4. Your order will be accepted and but WILL NOT enter the production queue until full payment has been received.
  5. Your invoice will be sent via email, it will also be available on the order page within your account.
  6. Your invoice will contain instructions on how to make payment.
  7. Once you have made payment, please allow us time to confirm the payment on our end.
  8. If payment has been received in full, you will receive another email with an updated invoice, showing the order as "paid". At this point your order will enter the production queue.
  9. Orders placed but not paid for WILL NOT enter the production queue. You will receive periodic reminders to pay your invoice. If the invoice is not paid after 35 days, your order will be automatically cancelled.

Yes, absolutely. As soon as you order has been paid for, our system will send you an invoice directly into your inbox. You can also see all of your previous invoices by logging into your Valet-Chem account.

If you can't find invoices which have been emailed to you, you can log into your Valet-Chem account to find a list of all previous invoices. You can then download or print as required.

Of course. Simply log into your Valet-Chem account and navigate to the order you wish to duplicate. You will find a link within that order to add all the same items to a new cart.

Yes, you can. During the checkout process, there will be an option to add PO numbers to your orders.

Whilst we don't accept POs sent directly to our team by email. You can use 2 different functions within the cart system.

  • Email - In the cart, under "actions", you will find an option to email your order. This can contain the order requirements within the email itself or an attachment. Simply copy the provided email address from the cart and send your PO over. The system will then use AI to read the email/attachment and populate the items into your cart.
  • Upload - In the cart, under "actions", you can upload any file type which contains the details of your order. Our system will use AI to read the PO and populate the items into your cart.

Shopping lists are a way for you to save future orders for yourself. This could be an order which you will place on a regular basis or simply a list different orders which you plan to place in the future.

How it works

Add the desired items to your cart and click "actions" and "save shopping list", you can give your shopping list a descriptive name and click save. This will then be stored in the "my account" tab. You are then free to clear your cart, add new items and save these as a different shopping list.

To purchase a shopping list, navigate to the "my account" tab and find the shopping list. Click on "actions" and add the shopping list to your cart. Adding to an existing cart will add the items alongside anything else currently in the cart. Creating a new cart will remove any current items in your cart and add only the items from the shopping list.

To delete a shopping list, simply click the bin icon on that list.

Absolutely. Navigate to the "my account" tab and scroll down to "reports". This will show you a report of your purchase history by time period.

If your order has been cancelled without you requesting it, then it's likely that we have not received payment after 35 days.

If you choose to pay by invoice and do not make payment, your order will be automatically cancelled after 35 days.

If you still require the items, please place a new order. Orders which have been cancelled cannot be reinstated.

Product & Availability FAQ

Most of our product pages have FAQs related to that particular product. Simply navigate to the product page and scroll down to find the FAQ section.

Usage instructions for each product can be found on the product page itself. Scroll down the page until you see the section "Instructions for use".

Each product's MSDS can be downloaded directly from the product page. You will find a link to it under the "Specification & Downloads" heading. Click on "Download" and a PDF download will begin.

Absolutely, each product is listed with the different size variants available. If you need a size that is not listed, contact us on +44 (0) 115 880 0444 and we'll be more than happy to accommodate.

Generally yes, our products are mixed and filled to order. As soon as your order enters the production queue, your products will be blended and filled. On the rare occasion that your order will to take longer than the quoted lead time, our team will be in touch.

Shipping & Delivery FAQ

We do not currently offer free shipping.

Most of our orders are shipped on palletised deliveries.

The cost of the pallet delivery is determined by the weight of your order. To get a quote for shipping, simply add your chosen items to the cart and proceed to checkout. Before payment is requested you will be able to see all available shipping options and their related costs.

We are able to offer shipping to the EU and internationally. If you would like to place an order to be shipped outside of the United Kingdom, please get in touch. We'd be very happy to talk to you about your requirements and work with you to meet your needs.

Orders will generally arrive within 48 hours once they have been dispatched. If your order hasn't arrived after 48 hours, please get in touch with our team for an update.

If a delivery fails for any reason, our team will be in touch.

If a delivery is missed due to recipient absence, or fails due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided, the customer will be responsible for any and all costs associated with re-delivery.

Returns & Refunds FAQ

You can return full orders for a refund. However, they must be unused and still sealed in a resalable condition.

Private label orders do not fall under this policy, please get in touch with our team to discuss the return of a private label order.

Depending on the method of payment refunds will generally take between 1 & 5 working days.

Payment by card - If you paid by card, we will issue your refund back to the same card. It can take up to 5 working days for our payment processor to send the funds.

Payment via invoice - If you paid by invoice, our team will issue your refund back to the same bank account. This is generally completed within 1-2 working days, however please allow up to 5 working days before getting in touch.
